Nicki & Wayne puts visuals to her latest single
The LP was projected to move 190-210k, and it did just slightly above that. IANAH2 pushed 217k copies off the shelves and into YMCMB fans’ hands. It was good enough to land Weezy at #2 on the charts, but not enough to knock out Justin Timberlake from the #1 spot. For comparison’s sake, Wayne’s last album, Tha Carter IV, moved 946k opening week.
Here goes the official tracklisting to Lil Wayne’s forthcoming I Am Not A Human Being II album expected to be released in stores March 26.

As of late Lil Wayne’s actions have gotten him in a bit of trouble, now after the recent events and being kicked out of a Miami Heat game last Sunday, he has been banned from all NBA events. Last night in Houston he lends his opinion on this.
Following the backlash surrounding Lil Wayne’s lyrics on Future’s “Karate Chop (Remix),” Epic Records has released an apology and statement about it. The lyric in question uses Emmett Till’s name, comparing the young teen who was brutally killed over 50 years ago, to Weezy’s skills in bed.
Epic Records confirmed the track was leaked, and will be edited by the label. In addition, the label said they are putting a lot of effort into removing the track’s online presence.
“We regret the unauthorized remix version of Future’s ‘Karate Chop,’ which was leaked online and contained hurtful lyrics,” Epic Records’ statement said. “Out of respect for the legacy of Emmett Till and his family and the support of the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr….we are going through great efforts to take down the unauthorized version.”
Epic Records has plans to re-release the single without the offending line. Wayne has yet to respond to the controversy, however L.A. Reid has reached out to the Till family to apologize.
Check out the updated version of the remix, minus the Emmett Till line.
Perhaps Lil Wayne should just stay away from NBA basketball games. This past summer, the New Orleans rapper accused the Oklahoma City Thunder of racism after being denied free courtside seats.
Apparently, Wayne was kicked out of today’s Miami Heat-Los Angeles Lakers game for “rootin 4 da Lakers.”
It’s unclear exactly why the police would ask Wayne to leave. The way the tweet reads, the force asked him to leave because he rooted for the Lakers?
Lil’ Wayne isn’t known for being levelheaded. Just last week, he blew up at a cameraman during a Celebrity Beach Bowl football game after the man allegedly shoved him out of the way (to his credit, he later explained why).
Now, LA Weekly has reported that California music promoter Alfredo Marino is preparing to sue Wayne for an assault he claims took place last May near the Odd Future store in Los Angeles. He planned on buying a shirt for his daughter at the store, but apparently ended up being knocked unconscious by a blow from a skateboard to the back of the head. After spotting Wayne outside the shop and approaching him for a picture, witnesses claim one of the his bodyguards hit him after being instructed to do so by the rapper.
“The bodyguards started tripping and saying, ‘I told you that Lil’ Wayne does not want to be bothered,'” Marino said. “I told them I have taken pictures of tons of people and I just want to show my friends that I saw Lil’ Wayne. They started calling me a ‘groupie’ and I said, ‘I ain’t no groupie.'”
It was at that point that Tunechi’s entourage allegedly surrounded and attacked him. After regaining consciousness, Marino was taken to the Cedars-Sinai hospital and treated for a concussion and vertigo.
The New Orleans rapper will be beginning a European tour shortly, and as such Marino’s lawyer is pressing to have the lawsuit served as soon as possible, while he’s still in town. He filed it today.
So far, there’s been no response from Wayne’s camp. There’s word that a Cash Money label party has been organized at an unknown location in West Hollywood tomorrow night, and Wayne is scheduled to make an appearance. Stay tuned.
Lil Wayne has delivered the artwork for his upcoming album, I Am Not A Human Being 2. Weezy had previously mentioned that Kanye would be handling the full design and packaging, and the cover is definitely in line with his minimal aesthetic. Lil Wayne’s upcoming album is still without a release date, but will feature the Drake and Future assisted track “Love Me”.
